WHAT IS KDAY WEEKEND? Founded in 2008 by community volunteer, Ms. Lori Carmon, this community event is held annually in September. KDAY Weekend of events was created in honor of Kinston’s renowned humanitarian & Kinston Indians baseball icon, Delmont Miller, who died in 2008. Before his passing, he shared with Ms. Carmon his dream to see everyone come together in Kinston to simply celebrate life! Ms. Carmon shared his wishes and the first KDAY was born! The MISSION of KDAY Weekend is to bring all KHS Viking classes, past and present, together in Kinston to promote unity and to give back to the community. The VISION of KDAY Weekend is to utilize this event as an opportunity to come together to CELEBRATE memories, to GIVEBACK to the community and to RESTORE pride in our beloved city!

In-kind and monetary donations help make this event a success! Donations should be made payable to: Lori Carmon OR Joyce Jones (Reference: KDAY Weekend 2012), 2316 COREY CT, KINSTON, NC 28504/ PH#252-686-XXXX or 252-268-XXXX
